Recipe for making cutlets from peas

Pea cutlets are an excellent vegetarian alternative to meat cutlets.

Here is a simple recipe for making cutlets from peas:

Ingredients:

1 cup dried peas
1 onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 carrot, grated
1/2 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
1/2 cup breadcrumbs or breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon turmeric (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Colorful sesame seeds for sprinkling (optional)
Preheated vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

Soak dry pea beans in water overnight. The next morning, turn off the water and rinse the peas.

Cook the peas in salted water until soft (about 1 hour). Let it cool slightly.

In a large bowl, combine the boiled peas, finely chopped onion, chopped garlic, grated carrots, parsley, breadcrumbs and flour. If desired, add turmeric for color. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Mix all the ingredients well until smooth. If the mixture is too wet, add more breadcrumbs or flour.

Form cutlets from the resulting mass.

Sprinkle the cutlets with sesame seeds on both sides (optional).

Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

Fry the cutlets on both sides until golden brown.

Place the finished cutlets on a paper towel to get rid of excess oil.

Serve the cutlets hot, for example, with a yogurt-based sauce, green sauce or tomato sauce.

Enjoy your meal!
